Isabela gov’t launches E-Library for youth

Isabela’s youth just got a brand-new digital hangout!
The Provincial Government of Isabela (PGI), through the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) and Isabela Tourism Office (ITO), officially opened the Isabela E-Library on August 12, located at the Isabela Museum and Library in Osmeña, City of Ilagan.
The new youth space is equipped with 20 high-speed, internet-enabled computers, each with a session timer to ensure fair use and access for more students.
It is strategically located near youth-dense areas such as Isabela State University–Ilagan Campus, the Isabela School of Arts and Trades, TESDA Isabela School of Arts and Trades, and other institutions.
Students can access educational and research materials for free and conveniently through Tekno-Aklatan, which contains a vast collection of e-books and other digital resources made available by the National Library of the Philippines.
They can also explore a variety of platforms, including the Government Data Hub, which features Civil Service Commission job opportunities, as well as the PGI’s Freedom of Information (FOI) and Transparency Portal.
The launching is part of the month-long celebration of Buwan ng Kabataan 2025 and International Youth Day in the province, organized by the PYDO. – Isabela PIO
