Isabela board member wins NMYL post

Hon. Marco Paolo Meris, member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for the 6th District of Isabela, has been elected National Auditor of the Executive Committee of the National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL).
Meris was elected during the 2026 National Convention of the NMYL, held from February 23 to 25 at the Manila Hotel, which gathered young elected leaders aged 40 and below from across the country.
Meris, running unopposed, said he is proud to represent Isabela nationwide as he begins his term as national auditor, which will run until 2028.
He will help lead and represent young local officials nationwide, including vice governors, provincial board members, vice mayors, municipal and city councilors, Sangguniang Kabataan leaders, and Liga ng mga Barangay presidents.
Meris said that the NMYL will continue to spearhead leadership training and capacity-building programs aimed at empowering young leaders and strengthening local governance throughout the country. – Isabela PIO
