Hauling Trucks for Every Barangay

To strengthen local mobility and boost agricultural productivity, the Provincial Government of Isabela (PGI) launched a wide-ranging initiative to distribute multi-purpose hauling trucks to barangays across the province.
Since 2020, a total of 953 trucks have been provided, covering 94% of all barangays under a Memorandum of Agreement that ensures rice farmers are given priority in using the trucks, particularly for transporting palay to the Nagkaisang Magsasaka ng Isabela Agriculture Cooperative (NMIAC) Facility.

This program, backed by an investment of P1.3 billion, proved especially crucial during the pandemic lockdowns, enabling farmers to efficiently move their harvest despite movement restrictions.

In addition to supporting agriculture, these hauling trucks have become vital in disaster response, delivery of government services, and stimulating local economic activities. By significantly reducing transportation time and costs, this initiative enhances rural livelihoods, strengthens food security, and highlights PGI’s commitment to inclusive, grassroots development across Isabela’s remote communities.
